Carissimi amici, navigando senza meta nella mia ampia discografia, mi sono imbattuto in questa (a mio avviso) stupenda canzone di Noel Paul Stookey, membro del trio folk Peter, Paul & Mary. Questo gruppo, ai più sconosciuto, ha interpretato per decenni i più grandi successi della musica folk mondiale: le loro cover hanno coinvolto cantautori, tra gli altri, del calibro di Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie e John Denver. Tuttavia hanno anche composto dei pezzi unici nel loro genere. La vocazione? fare poesia per gridare la pace e la giustizia. Parliamo di pezzi straordinari come "Where have all the Flowers Gone", "Blowin' in the Wind", "If I had a Hammer", "Puff the Magic Dragon", "In the Early Morning Rain", "Deportees", "Times they are A-Changing", "Leaving on a Jet Plane" e molti altri. Il gruppo si è sciolto nel settembre 2009, dopo la scomparsa della splendida voce di Mary Travers, colpita da leucemia. Il pezzo che vorrei porre al vostro attento e sensibile orecchio è stato composto da Paul in occasione del matrimonio di Peter (Yarrow) ed è una bellissima poesia di ringraziamento a "He", il Signore: un bellissimo inno all'amore, quello indelebile e sacramentale.

Un bellissimo film: per la fotografia, la sceneggiatura, gli attori, lo svolgimento e la conclusione. Tra memoria dell'orrore dei servizi segreti della Germania comunista (la terribile STASI) e riscatto della coscienza e della libertà. Un film che forma la coscienza: da non perdere! Quando avrò tempo spiegherò meglio questa mia perorazione. Nel frattempo invito a intervenire chi ha già visto il film: e spero che siano molti.

Carissimi amici, vorrei porre alla vostra attenzione due artisti che hanno fatto cantare, ballare, riflettere milioni di persone nel secolo scorso e che ancora sono tra i primi nelle playlist di molti di noi: non solo di qualche nostalgico ma anche di ragazzi giovani (io mi reputo tale) che amano la musica impegnata. Robert Allen Zimmerman, in arte Bob Dylan si è battuto e tutt'ora si batte per la pace: nelle sue canzoni troviamo tutto l'ardore e il suo amore per quei valori che sembrano essere passati in secondo piano: riservati a vecchi nostalgici appunto, distaccati dal mondo reale di guerra e sofferenza, mali che sembrano ineluttabili. Joan Baez ha sposato la causa di Bob, interpretando magistralmente le sue opere e partecipando a concerti in favore della Pace, duettando con lui e ponendosi sempre con semplicità e passione. E' musica vera, genuina che viene direttamente dai cuori e prende i cuori delle persone! La sua poesia, il loro stile, le loro voci...sono unici!

Potete guardare questo video, di una delle canzoni simbolo di tutta la sua produzione, in cui Bob Dylan e Joan Baez interpretano in coppia Blowin' in the Wind composta nel 1962 e ispirazione per centinaia di cover in tutto il mondo: pure noi in campeggio cantiamo "Risposta", (un po' riduttiva e neanche confrontabile all'originale per musicalità e fluidità secondo me) però comunque fonte di un desiderio vivo di un mondo migliore e che può esserlo.
